About
Welcome to Don Panito, a hidden gem nestled in the picturesque Puerto de la Cruz, Santa Cruz de Tenerife. Conveniently located at Av. Marques de Villanueva del Prado, 11, Local 42, this charming café offers an inviting atmosphere that captures the essence of Italian and Spanish culinary traditions.
As a food reviewer for Foodjoyy, I couldn’t help but be drawn in by the glowing reviews from satisfied customers. One standout, Gary Gingell, described his experience as finding "a diamond of a place." His mention of the amazing food and fantastic service speaks volumes about the dedication of the owner, who is the heartbeat of this café. Known for his hard work and hospitality, the owner ensures every guest feels welcome, taking the time to guide diners through the menu at their own pace.
For coffee lovers, Don Panito is a must-visit. Annette Temming raves about the “best cappuccino” she encountered in Puerto de la Cruz. The café's coffee is crafted with care, and the owner’s generous nature shines through, as noted by Annette’s anecdote about being trusted to return for payment when she didn’t have cash. Such gestures create a warm, familial atmosphere that you seldom find in modern cafes.
Moreover, the dishes served at Don Panito are not just meals—they are experiences. Ryan Evans emphasizes the delightful food and the owner's accommodating and friendly nature. Whether you're stopping by for a refreshing lunch or a leisurely drink, the level of service and the quality of the food are consistently praised. Breakfast lovers, like Michael Randrup Christensen, find themselves enchanted enough to return repeatedly, drawn by the combination of good food and exceptional coffee.
The vibrant, inviting ambiance is complemented by the owner's Italian charm and fluency in English, which has evidently contributed to a new wave of positive reviews and a loyal customer base. Helen Carter notes the café's excellent coffee and the appealing display of cakes, suggesting that even those who indulge in sweet treats are not left disappointed.
In summary, Don Panito is more than just a café; it’s a gathering place where quality food meets genuine hospitality, making it essential on your culinary itinerary when in Tenerife. With its inviting ambiance, exceptional service, and mouthwatering offerings, a visit to Don Panito is guaranteed to leave you with not just a satisfied palate, but also joyful memories.
“ Found this amazing cafe 2 days before flying back home. Absolutely amazing food, the service was fantastic. The owner was a amazing guy, very hard working. Showed us all of the menu's in our own time. Then brought us a fruit and salad platter which was the best I ever tasted. Definitely gotta visit this diamond of a place ”
“ For the best cappacino in Puerto de la Cruz you have to be here. Also, the owner gave us a good feeling. We didn't have cash money with us. The owner said: you can come back tomorrow to pay. Thanks for your trust. ”
“ The owner is very accommodating, friendly and chatty! The food is lovely unlike some of the “TOP END” places in the area. Would highly recommend stopping for some lunch and a drink. Overall great experience. ”
“ Top service from a German/Italian guy. So Nice, good breakfast and coffee. Had breakfast here 3 times doing our stay in Tenerife... go here ”
“ So friendly! Excellent coffee. Didn't have any of the cakes but they looked delicious! Looking at reviews from a while ago it must have changed hands as the guy who is serving now is Italian and speaks very good English. ”
“ Lovely place and extremely well kept. The owners seem to enjoy what they do much. They could not speak English but they more than made up for it by being friendly and genuinely welcoming. Went for breakfast and had the cherry tart. Extremely fresh and tasty. The coffee was good too! ”
“ What an amazing find. Kiko is such a lovely guy and is so attentive, making sure you are happy. I mentioned I was vegetarian and he put me together a lovely panini with a choice of different cheeses but Brie is my favourite so I had that with lettuce and tomato in his homemade panini! My partner had a cheese and ham toastie. The orange juice was so fresh and the milkshake my partner had was delicious, as well as one of the best ice coffees my boyfriend said he had ever had! The carrot cake and cheesecake were also delicious and we were shocked as to how inexpensive it was for such a lovely meal. If you want to be treated properly, and served fresh homemade food and drinks, please go and visit and help this small business thrive. If we ever are back we would come here again for sure! Such a shame we found it on our last day or we probably would have come every day on our holiday! Thank you Kiko! - Scarlett and Steve ”
“ I.M.O. the best served coffee in town. I love this place because I feel very welcome everytime I visit, and Pierre, aka "Kiko", is just a cool guy. I will be back soon!!!! Grtzzz Erik and Lisa. ”
